My fuel pump failed and the SAAB dealer replaced it (aftermarket version £100 not £400 dealer option :D).
When it was replaced there was a small whif of fuel which didnt surprise me but when I filled it up (right to the top) yesterday there was a puddle of fuel under car near the tank and when I whipped off the cover for the top of the tank there was a small amount of fuel sloshing around the top of the pump.

The tank aperture where the pump fits and all the hoses were tight.

Has anyone else come across this orhave any ideas - just a bit worried to have fuel in the passenger compartment.

I haven't done this DIY yet, but am planning on it soon, so I have been brusing up on the tutorials here. If I had to guess it sounds like the O-ring/Gasket is either missing or didn't seat right, or they could have used the old one that has been compressed and wouldn't be a proper fit anymore. If a dealer did the repair, take it back, they should be responsible and a leaky fuel is a major concern.
