Anyone ever use this and what is it for? Can you get a fuel injector cleaner kit and run the engine spraying in the fluid here?

You're likely referring to the schrader valve on the fuel rail. Most (if not all) fuel injected cars have a similar valve. I use it on my older cars to diagnose fuel delivery or weak pressure problems - tap the pin in the center of the valve with a screwdriver to get a shot of gas in the face, and yep - you've got pressure! The proper way is to affix a fuel pressure gauge to test pressure levels.

Yes. That threaded valve has the same threads as an R12 A/C service port, by the way--other GM vehicles also use the same threaded fitting.

Ford uses one that has the same threads as a tire valve.

Yes, they do -- see Harbor Freight's ITEM 95834-2VGA as one example, although it does not seem to mention what kind of fuel rail ports it fits.

The Harbor Freight cleaner kit requires shop air, but it can be used with any cleaner.

Another option is to use pressurized cans such as 3M 08912 with an adapter hose, which runs about $40 for the hose and about $10 for the can.
