Sorry if this is not the correct place for this post but here goes... Yesterday i folded my rear view mirror via electric button. When i unfolded them my drivers side mirror unfolds way too far out, like 180 degrees. That is not even the main problem i don't want to use the function anyway. So i put the driver mirror manually back in the place where it should be.
The problem is, the next time whenever i turn the car on and go over 30 km/h my drivers mirror unfolds outwards while driving :x ...so i have to put it back in place manually while driving. Is there a way to just turn off the function completely, because i don't even need it and don't want to pay for a new mirror? Is it possible to just remove the fuse?
I tried reseting it, by manually putting it in the unfolded position, then pressed the button to unfold them again. The faulty mirror made a noise, like a pop, i thought it reseted, but didn't help. Like i said i just want that my mirror wouldn't unfold when driving over 30km/h otherwise i don't need the function. Thank you for your anwsers and sorry for my grammar.

I had a similar problem with the driver side power folding mirror in my 2011, the mirror didn't unfold at all with the switch and it was impossible to manually fold it out since you are not really "unfolding it", just forcing it out. My issue is some electrical short in the mirror or circuit, I eventually got it to unfold properly by cycling the switch several times. The only other way is to replace the mirror or fix the circuit fault.

isn't the feature on/off by the mirror-shaped button on the adjuster ?

FWIW my Mercedes did this too, randomly, sometimes when I would maybe be in reverse only a short time (like enough to move half the mirror, but then, it would move all the way up)...

The adjuster only has 1 button for fold/unfold, and another one for adjusting the mirror glass. Is there a way to remove the glass from the mirror housing and disconnect the connector or something.
The only problem is, my mirror thinks it is folded even if it isn't, and everytime i go over 30 it "unfolds" all the way forward...
I tried removing the fuse, but that same fuse is for electric windows aswell so that won't work.
I just want to "shut down" the motor that is folding/unfolding the mirrors...Any way to do that?

Take off the door panel and swap around the wires in pin 18 and pin 31 of the driver/passenger door window switch. This is to get the mirrors back in sync. Start with the door which has the mirror which gets folded too far outward.
