Continuation of this thread: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169975

Finished building the rest of the 3" exhaust yesterday. Most fun I've had sober in a long time.

Consists of race-cat., Magnaflow muffler, and 2 V-band clamps.

Sound clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY4S19zrfkU (compare to the 3" exhaust on my SPG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubh6lVxqb8c sounds close, but not as much burble)

Pics of yesterday:

Added a 1" section to the middle of the downpipe to center it more under the car, and added the V-band ring to the end.

Ben Jamin, who helped me measure, cut, and weld.

Downpipe w/ new V-band.

Tailpipe kept as non-bling as possible. Angled to the side in a form called "the crowd pleaser" by Ben.

It took a bit longer to put together than I hoped, but there was a lot of measuring, marking, tack-welding, and full-welding than I planned on. It was worth it though.

I also installed a new Spec2+ clutch kit while the car was on the lift (busy weekend!) and am running base-boost (BPC unplugged) for a couple hundred miles, until it's all broken in. Can't wait to plug it back in, get full boost, and hear that wastegate open under WOT.

Thanks and yes, the muffler was installed in the stock, rear location.

I really like the tail pipe angle looks very purposeful .Is the exhaust sound obvious inside the car?
I like the angled look too. Some stuffy purists may disagree, but I think it has a more performance look to it.

There isn't any increase in exhaust noise inside the cabin unless I really stab at the gas pedal; then it's only the noise coming from the tailpipe. None of the resonance inside the cabin either.

I'll post some more pics of the system later. I was so busy trying to fab. up the exhaust I forgot to take as many pics as I normally do.

There are 2 V-band clamps in the exhaust, one up front (in the picture above) and one located above the rear axle, which makes removal of the entire system a 2 minute job (minus the 3 nuts that bolt the downpipe to the turbo... those are a PITA when the manifold is hot!)
