Hi guys, just bought an NG900 (1995) so please bear with me!

I need to replace all four flexi pipes for the braking system, have just been quoted £120 for FOUR pipes, which seems a bit steep

Found on www.partsforsaabs.com that I can get the pipes I need there, does anyone know the part numbers that I need?

Also, my aircon isn't working, my brother who is a mechanic went to re-gas it but it depressurised within 5 minutes. He tried to find the leak using the UV goggles/light etc but no luck. Anyone got any tips/known problems with the aircon system?

Cheers all

These would be the best option

Goodridge braided hoses from PFS, cheaper than original equipement and superior too.

If the UV dye hasn't shown anything with the aircon have the circuit pressurised with nitrogen and listen carefully for the hiss, aircon service places will do this too.

Have just changed the flexi pipes on my 97 900 inj. for Goodrich ss from PFS. The difference was worth every penny in pedal feel and stopping power. I emailed them to check the part no. before buying. Go for it!

AC leaks

I've had three small leaks, all from dried out o-rings, all located with the help of dye.

Near the drier canister, which is behind the grille on the LH side. I only found the leak when the left headlight was removed to access two AC pipes that come in from the left side (LH and left = driver left).

Another was from one of the pressure sensors on the canister (that only required tightening the sensor). Some have found leaks at the expansion valve which is located at the firewall, and there have been posts about the evaporator (about the most expensive place to have a leak).

One of the shielded hoses that run along the front subframe crossmember is also a likely suspect. Mine was on its way to wearing through when I found it thanks to this board... see following thread and pic:

Good luck!
