Hello,

I really like the tone and content of this forum. Finally joined so that I could ask a question. In the states we can no longer get parts to rebuild the EMS steering rack. Are there any parts available to rebuild (inner wear parts) in the UK?

We can get rebuilt normal racks ok over here, so whoever is rebuilding those presumedly has a source for the wearing internals. If internals for the EMS rack are the same as the standard one - barring the the actual gearing of course then you might be able to get some from them. A quick look at the microfiches I think the basic parts are the same, including LHD/RHD. However, it looks like Saab only ever offered rebuild kits rather than individual parts.

The only place I know that supplies racks is PFS: http://www.partsforsaabs.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_337&products_id=1853 however they won't of course be the ones who actually rebuild them.
