Fast facts for those of you who are following along... eEuroparts.com or really OnlineAutoParts.com LLC doing business as eEuroparts, is owned and managed by Daniel "Matt" Moran. They have since filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and sold the Domain name to a company in Tennessee.
-- On May 30th, Daniel Moran quit claimed his own house to his wife, who would become the sole owner. He moved an asset exactly 90 days before filing bankruptcy on his LLC. I wonder why he would do that (Attached).
-- On July 12th, Moran was served a notice to quit possession of the property at 800 Marshall Phelps rd in Windsor (the only eEuroparts warehouse) for non-payment of rent. At the time he owed $41,266. (Attached).
-- On August 8th, eEuroparts had 4 of its bank accounts and the physical building (with all its parts) attached by BMW of Watertown and Hoffman Porsche due to non-payment. At the time he owed $276,276. This attachment was without notice as part of a "prejudgment remedy" which did not require a court order to execute due to the contract Matt had signed before doing business with BMW. A “prejudgment remedy” is a tool in CT business law that allows creditors to attach bank accounts and physical property BEFORE a lawsuit, to secure it from being hidden during the lawsuit (Attached).
-- On August 15th, a pink notice was placed on the building by a court marshall indicating the building and all its contents were the property of BMW per the prejudgment remedy (Attached).
-- On August 29th, Daniel Moran declared he is “…unable to pay all of his debts…” and that Chapter 7 Bankruptcy was “…in the best interest of the company…” (Attached).
-- On August 30th, Daniel Moran filed for Chapter 7 in federal court in Hartford, CT. At this point his attorney pointed out that upon the application of Chapter 7, there was a stay of any prejudgment remedy. This means BMW was no longer able to attach his assets (Attached).
These are just the companies that have officially sued. There are dozens of other companies that are owed money, including BOSCH and Elring. A full list of every creditor they owe money to was listed in the bankruptcy petition and it tops 50 companies. Did anyone notice at the last eEurofest the vendor expo? That's because there wasn't one...
Meanwhile, the race team, "LMS Performance Group LLC" was home to five eEuroparts racecars, all of which likely topped six figures. When employees were being laid off, the race team itself seemed to fall apart as the financial tension rose and owed money was not dispersed. This article took notice. https://sportscar365.com/imsa/impc/eeuroparts-racing-shutters-operations/?fbclid=IwAR33N54N0py1wwoWmsqf7aYMRFRD-XygUngcwRgE0_ojRhgBIHN0iD1HxCU](https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsportscar365.com%2Fimsa%2Fimpc%2Feeuroparts-racing-shutters-operations%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2UARu902gZj12uUIrY0jLAyJIW-yzGVG3cAt8uPbKNVrbdmONGP3Cw9nA&h=AT3Kjfnc_Lrb6z70iei2s6YWfiLJBFmxhetxD8xKO64CCSdd42yF9H0OUOQdrEbGZq-4JbN8lt-kdW1Fe1I4CgzBFF4SqSqJoRvqxL-hYUoHnlPZ6WnZQvB8ufDU4vL18TuD_6e2q6vRyCdIvK89mg)
Now [eEuroparts.com domain name has been sold to a company in Nashville Tennessee. The official word is "eEuroparts moved". It is suggested that Daniel is partnering with the new domain owner. During the transition Daniel threatened the previous employees with legal recourse if they spoke out on social media about the deteriorating conditions of the company. He demanded "radio silence" or they may be sued in federal court for letting the sale of his domain to fall through. He advised they retain council if they feel they need to.
A fact that may or may not be relevant to story. His wife is an attorney specializing in estate administration, business counseling, and corporate lending (Attached). I wonder how that might be beneficial.
