I have the DRL fuse removed from my car, so my headlight switch is either off, on, or on. I think other people experience this too. I also happened to notice though if you leave it in the first on position (12 o'clock) the battery will die overnight.

My question is what wires in the headlight switches are used? I have some interior lights which I'm soldering in to the headlight switch so they'll only turn on when the headlights are on.

I was ALSO wondering if I could splice in to the wire for the first 'on' 12o'clock position, so that my options are for the headlight switch are off; headlights and interior lights on; headlights on and interior lights off.

Anyone know which color wires they are, and if this would not work for some reason?

When you turn ignition OFF (remove key), only parking lights stays ON. This position is powered from +30 voltage (permanent voltage).

Much easier is that you get TECH2 and reprogram head light option to ROW.

For interior lights, you might use switch.
