Ok, I am over this seat. When you open either door on my vert the drivers seat moves forward and the back to the seat moves up. Then if you try to move it back into place it moves only an inch or two and stops and then starts back moving again. This all started after I unhook the battery to do fuel filter change and some tune up items. I have tried to unhook the battery again to see if that would correct it and it doesn't. I also then unhooked the seat but then the heat on the seat doesnt work.

Does anyone know how to fix this.

Sounds like there's some preset that the seat is moving to to "help" you get in and out of the car. Have you checked the owners manual to see if this is a feature? The previous owner may have disabled the feature or something and unhooking the battery reenabled it

no there is a mem set to move the seat back into driver 1 2 3 position but nothing to help when exiting the car. This is a pnta!!!!!

Mine used to do the same thing. I disconnected the battery to do some work and when I hooked everything back up, the driver's seat would move all the way forward in about 1" increments. I reprogrammed the seat for me on setting #1 and my wife on setting #2. It still moved when I opened the door. I set all of the memory to my setting and it still did it. I disassembled the seat and switch and couldn't see anything plainly wrong nor did the multimeter give me anything to go on.

After I reassembled the seat, I found that setting it in the position you want and then pressing the memory button once seemed to fix it. The only problem is that seat still moves in 1" increments while the passenger seat remains smooth.
