following a hoover out of the interior, i have noticed that the rear door open indicator has now lit and refuses to go out. I have checked the switch etc.

anyone got a quick fix or will i endure the workshop manual? need to wait for a dry :evil: evening to get it done..its really distracting at night.

hi punch' with sounding patranising i dout you have checked the right switch, as the switch for this is acually part of the lock mechanism inside the door and it consits of a read switch which is a set on contacts that is opened when a magnet is possitioned close to it (ie when the door is closed) the magnet drops out of its holder so the switch remains open even when the door is closed

You are soooooo good, I was wondering why I couldn't get the door ajar light to go out when the door light switch worked okay....now I know where to look! :cheesy:
