My car is about 5 months and 950 miles old. I just noticed the clutch pedal squeaks. Maybe it's just today or maybe I just noticed it today (probably not).

Happen to you?

My dealer lubed it and it was still making noise but recently went away. My previuos Nissan Maxima also squeeked.

I've had this same problem with a 1999 10th Anniversary Edition Mazda Miata... Will have to check for that spring... It is a bit annoying.
Mine creaked for the first couple thousand miles and eventually went away, I have not heard it since. I was going to take it to the dealer to have them look at it but the creak just got softer and then disappeared.

Thanks for the hints.

1. On closer examination, the rubber pedal does not squeak.
2. The steering column adjustment knob has a surround cover which pulls off. This gives a better view (but not as good as taking the lower dash apart-which is probably a chore!)
3. Before reading the hints, I thought the squeak was the pivot point (not visable) or possibly the clutch switch (a round thing on a cubical mount) which is supposed to be lubricated for life.

Still squeaks in hot weather 4 years later. It's not annoying and doesn't squeak in cool weather. I tried rotating parts a bit (nothing turned) and dabbing a tiny bit of oil (but not vasoline) in 2005.
