Hi all, question I'm sure gets asked a bit and Google is about as conclusive as trumps psychological report. I have a 2005 9-3 vector sport auto 150. Without crawling under the car, do I have a dpf? Can I tell from the log book at all? I had a 2004 vectra with the same engine and that didn't have one. I can't say I have noticed a dpf light on the dash when I go to start the car etc.

Any thoughts on this? :D

There's just the combo filter/preheater on the firewall next to the coolant expansion tank. It will warn you about water in fuel in the SID if necessary.

Post VIN here and I will check.
DPF is part of exhaust.

It very likely doesnt have a DPF on a 2005.
There is no DPF dash light regardless of year.
Either look under the car........you can easily see it looking under the sill drivers door.
Also the DPF pressure sensor is around the middle of the firewall...

Also enter VIN at www.thesaabsite.com scroll through additional details.
It may also have been removed by a previous owner(watch out MOT time though)

Mimmi kindly checked and it does indeed have a dpf, just looked at the link you posted and it confirms I have a dpf, although it's quite a deep note on the exhaust I still think it is there as its just gone through an MOT :) thank you all for your help!!
