Today while driving my gf to work something very bad happened to me.

Put it into first gear, let go of the clutch and stalled. Couldnt find second gear at all, untill I slammed it into place. Stalled in the middle of an intersection.

I then tryed first gear again, rode the clutch and got it moving. I then realised I was going 40mph and I was still in first and felt like I could keep going!

Then found 2nd gear and it acted normal, just very hard to find.

No problems with 3rd or 4th gear at all.

5th gear acts like 3rd gear, it will rev up to a higher rpm than in 4th.

So I barley got it home taking off in 2nd and staying in 4th the whole way there.

Is this a shifter linkage problem or is my tranny ****ed?

Well, I never thought about the mount, but it was cracked. Would that be the cause of it?

Also, is it safe to drive on for the time being or will that mess it up any more? Cause this is my only means of transportation.
