I've got some rust on rear shock towers of 97 900 vert. I see lot's of posts about welding in steel or jbwelding in some support washers or metal. Before I decide what route to take, I need to know what size the hole should be and maybe what size washers others have used that went that route. The old shocks were still in place and not moving around so I'm hoping some proactive jbweld/washer/rust eating paint will do the job.

Edit: I did find a post that mentioned drilling a 20MM hole for the shock. I've ordered some M20 stainless washers which I hope will work. It may be a few weeks but I'll update this post if its the right size and all goes good.
