After reading about the DI going bad I thought it might not be a bad idea to have a spare in the trunk. My question is, I have the 3.0L / V6. I know I need 2 but are they both the same, front one and the rear ?

My DI is not red or black but Chrome(metal). I can only find red or black colored ones, who has the chrome colred ones and will the black one work ? Does color matter, as long as it is for the 3.0/v6 ?

I have replaced the my DI's in the same SE V6 that you have and they are the black cassettes, the nice thing about the V6 is that even though you need two, they are identical, and very easy to replace - just be careful since its high voltage.
