i asked a friend to see if he could get me a deal on some gauges and he brought me the following faze fuzion reverse el gauges

water temp
oil temp
trans temp
egt
oil pressure
air/fuel (narrow)
vac/boost

200 for all.

does that sound like a killer deal? i think that works out to like 28 dollars a gauge. pretty dang cheap in my book.

if anyone is interested i might be able to hook them up, ill have to talk to the guy i got em from. dont know for sure. what do you guys think about that price?

that's a very good price on the gauges as long as they work well

but water temp, trans temp, and narrow band arn't really necessary

If you do the EGT and air/fuel (narrow), you are going to need a couple more bungs in the downpipe/ exhaust pipe, and that's going to add to the price.

Then the easiest way to mount the oil pressure/oi temp would be a sandwich adapter between the oil filter and oil filter housing.

Where do you plan to mount the trans temp sensor? In the drain plug?

Just wondering... Ron

im a huge fan of information, so i kind of like the idea of know what exactly is going on at all times. not sure where i will install the trans temp gauge, but being that its an auto and im not very nice to it, id like to know where the abuse leaves the temp. as far as the egt, ill have a bung put on the 3 inch stainless exhaust when i order it.

i used to race big v8's on the strip, right up until katrina happened and then i started rethinking the whole mpg/power issue. i ran full instrumentation on all my cars and a few times having the numbers saved my **** and some parts. dont know that ill even use them all, but it was a heck of a deal even if i ebay the things.

i mean narrow band isn't necessary because it's typically very inaccurate and you should get a wide band instead...

i agree your trans temp should be in the drain plug, maybe more necessary for auto pushing a fair amount of power
