Somehow after washing my car one day back during winter, my hood emblem literally washed off. The gloss/paint of it. So now the emblem is like only silver on the car with no paint. Is replacing this covered under warranty, mind u I didnt put nothing crazy on car, just took it to a carwash that uses foam wax, not the hot wax.

-I always got something wrong with this car, it's still my baby none-the less.

Both of mine have come off and are being replaced under warranty. The emblems themselves are on backorder (of course), but replaced for free.

This has happened to my '98 900S as well. The emblems are about $20 and can be easily replaced by the owner. Nonetheless, this is an annoyance. On the other hand, this problem with emblems flaking is not restricted to SAAB only. BMW and Nissan owners have reported similar problems with vehicle badging.

My aunt has a 9-5 and had mentinoed during her last visit that both the hood & trunk emblems have been replaced "multiple" times on her car. It's just a fact of life for her now I suppose.
