Not sure if the rumors I hear about you guys on the other side of the pond are true (being such serious drivers, you don't need cupholders)
but I need cup holders.... Just wondering how or if, anyone else has a solution.

Go look at Swedish Auto Specialist website--www.sasab.com--they have a neat color coordinated unit that mounts on the door just forward of the door latch handle.

Pulls down and securely holds a go-cup--then folds back up out of the way when you are done--looks like it came with the car. Well made.

I have them on two of our cars and they work very, very well. Easy install, too!

my brother got some that slide down into the window fram and sit just over on the other side of the door. They were like a dollar at wal-mart or some cheapo car parts place. Some thing like this: http://www.care4car.com/productimages/3869summit%20handy%20car%20cup%20holder.jpg but his were flexibly rubber and got pulled down with window and somehow stayed? Type cup holder/universal cup holder on google images, and pick one you like.

A 12oz can of Mt. Dew just fits in the cubby below the equilizer. Probably isn't the best idea with the electronics right there but it works.

Never understood the fasination with cup holders. Never had one, never had the need for one.
It is a North American thing. We also eat entire meals in our cars on a regular basis;oops:

The best c900 cup holder invention I have seen is the door mounted one from SAS.

The coin/cip DIN unit doesn't work all to well and the glovebox circles are well....

same, worse comes to worse, if I HAVE to have a drink, I'll put it in between my legs or between door and seat, or depending on size, the the door pocket.

I got one of the flip out ones from a 9-3 i think (?) and did a little but of cutting and filing, and fit it just below the DIN slot in the lower center console. works pretty good...

I just bought something similiar on Ebay -- it fits in a DIN slot, pops out for two cupholders. Upper tray is a coinholder.

Haven't put it in yet, but I'll let you know how it is when I do so.

Does that not get in the way of the gearstick when in 3rd or 5th ?

I imagine it would in the lower DIN slot of a 900. You could move your stereo to the lower slot, however, and put the cupholder in the top DIN.

Though that's getting into a lot of work just to hold your drink...

i've seen a guy around here who took the cupholder from a junked 9-5 and installed it somewhere around the cubbyhole... doesn't look bad, but it's not gonna fit the super duper guper big gulp that the Yanks drink! don't worry, I am too a fellow yank.... but i don't drink big gulps. buy my gf does :)
