Just went to the local SAAB dealership and tried to order some crush washers/sleeves for my 88 5 spd tranny I'm trying to rebuild. Items are "Out of service" so can not order. I would like to manufacture them prior to me taking apart the tranny so as I have less down time.

Anybody have the dimensions of them so I can buy the stock material to make them?

TIA.

Thanks Breakin5Speeds. Guess I can always use a thin walled chrome moly tubing.

Yeah, this happened to me several months ago. Go ahead and call every Saab dealer in the USA. Either get some shims made to shim the gap and set the right preload or figure out how to put a '89 housing in your transmissio. I think you can still get the crush washers for those. I'll get some dimension for you this weekend from my old washer.

Sorry for the delay,

The old crush washer on my '85 has depth of .714". The inside diameter is approximately 1.321" The outside diameter is 1.5" If you need any more measurements of pictuers let me know.
