Crashbar airbag sensor Saab 9-5 2008

Hi, I am changing the crashbar on my Saab 9-5 2008 vector because it is bent and it has airbag sensors on it. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could remove the sensors without accidently activating the airbag. Is it just safe to disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes or do I need to do more steps then that?

Hi and welcome.
Disconnect battery prior removing sensors.
If you have airbag warning in instrument, you need TECH2 to clear it.
