I need to weld or replace an NG900 subframe that has a crack in it at the rear bolt of the stanchion arm on the passenger side. Is this a lost cause? I'm having a hard time finding a donor vehicle near me (or another vehicle to make mine a donor to) and no shop nearby wants to take on the liability of such a repair.

Too bad you're not in New England, loads of salvage yards with Saabs. Shipping would be brutal though. Call around to all the salvage yards or picknpulls until you find one within driving distance - there's gotta be a 900/93 somewhere.

UPS freight is probably not horrifically expensive from a coast. With such a small market for these things I'm betting one is on your doorstep for $250 or less, which probably isn't all that much more than you'd pay a qualified welder to do a good job.

Did you at try calling Rancho or Goldwing or East or Sweden for a quote? i'd think it'd be worth a shot.
