Would be most helpful if you have a spare around & can be bothered to give me inside & outside diameters - have a couple of washers but can`t recall if these are for my 900 or not.
Would save a couple of hours there & back to the SAAB dealer!!

By 1993 they had switched to the composite plastic/rubber drain plug washer.

Hello & thanks very much - I`m a fan of the copper type - when I`ve used one with the plastic /rubber seal it doidn`t seem to fit snug on the threads of the plug & iIcouldn`t figure out how it held - though it did seem OK in practice.
Any ideas?

I had a 10 thou? composite on mine when removed for oil change and was so thin & brittle it broke, so i made a new one out of a piece of 1/2"copper pipe as shops were shut, cut and hammered flat , drilled a hole and trimmed it round with tin snips, just done a 500 mile trip not a drop leaked, just cut a plastic bottle to bits and make one, anything is better than nothing,
