Hello all,

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2001 Saab 9-3 for my wife. Just yesterday the convertible stopped working. I unlock the convertible and push the button. The rear window folds up, as this is happening after about 3-5 seconds a clicking noise happens or more precisely like a wire is rubbing very tightly against something. At this point the warning light goes off ("SID") and the convertible stops. I know only a little about cars but would like to try to fix this myself. I've read that this may be a u-joint problem or a pin that has snapped. Does anyone have any insight or has anyone experienced a similar problem? Up until yesterday the top went up and down with no problem or any noises at all.

Thanks in advance
