Evening everyone...

I've been having problems with the power hood on my 1990 T16 convertible, it's in the garage at the moment and I spoke to the mechanic earlier and he said that he's checked all the electrics and all is fine there so it 'must be a problem with the hydraulics"

It's not leaking hydraulic fluid at all as far as I'm aware, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem, how much it'd cost for replacement parts if needed, worst case scenario etc??

Thanks in advance!

Ah yeah well that might have helped I suppose!!

Yes, basically the problem is that it isn't working at all, no response when you hit the switch. All the electrics have tested out fine as I said.

Thanks for the links!

I had the same issue with mine when I bought the car...was told the top mechanisms were shot. Not one to believe anything I'm told I checked it out for myself.

The fuse under the hood was good, but corroded and not making contact. A bit of emery cloth on the contacts and it was working just fine again....
