I would like to kick off the first post for CT drivers to take in part of the world wide We Support Saab “We are many, We are Saab” Event.

If you have not herd about the event yet, you can read more about it here:
http://www.outside-saab.com/
http://www.facebook.com/events/292201007483895/

The main idea it create a buzz to show that Saab is not dead after all, and that we stand united after all.

Right now im open to input and suggestions. I manly want to make the post to see how much local interest we have in the CT area.

Some main question:
On what day you want to meet up Jan 14 Jan 15 or both?

Meeting up time and locations?

Stuff to do?
Beside meeting other Saab nuts, and talk about how much we love are cars.
Find some nice roads and rip on the car a bit?
Dose any one know of a Saab specialist shop to meet at?
Maybe ask a dealer to help host the event?
Do some dyno pulls?

As you see i have nothing planed yet, just want spark the idea.

It seems short notice to have a dealer hot an event, but who knows. We Saaber's are creative!
The 15th works a lot better for me. Let's get this going guys!

I will keep an eye on this. I wont make a January meet but I am originaly from Hartford and currently live in Florida. Just got my Classic 900 worthy enough for road trips; just came back from SC with no issues.

Connecticut to visit the family in the spring or summer is next on the drive list. Please keep this updated as I just may plan my vacation around the ability to also attend one of these events;ol;...

Where abouts is this going to be? Hopefully the saab should be running...def interested
I'm going to leave that up to us as a group to decide, and vote on. I never realy organized anything like this, just want to support a cause and meet up with some more Saab enthusiast.

So suggest something, or post a +1 on any idea you like.

i just thought of maybe doing the CT Brewery Trail. I don't know if that is the kind of press we want to be assorted with. It is just something to do, with few stops in the CT. Obliviously we will do it responsibly.

As far as a Saab specialist (besides other Saab Central Members), maybe the guys from http://www.velocitytuning.com/index.htm. I never meet or worked with them, but they are a map tune dealer/distributor.

Hopefully we can decide on something sometime this week, leaving time to make call if need be to arrange with other business

So lets spread the word quickly and get a count of how many people are willing to go on either day, and from there we can decide what we want to do as a group.

I only post here and on a Saab Ct Facebook page. If you know of other CT drivers in other forms please pass the message on. saablink tronictunning, ecuproject, etc

If you want to do an easy place to g2g, my wife owns a barber shop in the Norwich CT area, and hosts car get togethers there from time to time... We call it cars and cuts... People don't HAVE to get their haircut, but its always appreciated... And gives people a place to hang out, talk cars, etc..

I also can probably get another local shop with a dyno to host a dyno day / get together, if there was a decent amount of confirmed people to dyno. It is also in Norwich CT.

The barber shop is called My New Haircut, and the address is 72 Route 32, Franklin CT. It is about 1 mile off of Route 2, exit 27. It will be on your left if you are coming from Route 2. You will see my wife's silver RSX, and probably my red Aero...

If you are coming, just let me know so we can expect a headcount. I may also invite a bunch of evo owners I know just to get some more people there...

Ugh Franklin is so far, but I'm probably still down for it. I never say no to Saab meets. I just want to see Saab's there. Last meet I organized, only one Saab came, McViggen. Kinda pissed, but whatcha gonna do! Got to talk to him personally so it was nice though.
Let me try to gather some VW owners and see if they want to come out!

why not? Car people are car people... I'd get a bunch of my subaru buddies together, but most are having a meet at OnTrack in Wallingford that afternoon.

Err i Was under the Impression that it was Sunday, since Adrian92 was the only one who could not do Saturday, and no one said they could not do Sunday until now.

I'm Still neutral in both days and location.

I hate planning......
