I've got a 1983 900s Non-turbo 8v. It seems to start and run well but when it is warming and the cold start kicks off it becomes very cold blooded. I have to baby the thing by reving it on takeoff. What adjustments do I need to make to correct this?

Hi,I would start by removing and cleaning the auxiliary air valve with carb cleaner then lube with wd40 .Check those hoses for splits. Then test the 5th injector operation. Pat

Remove the power plug from the warm up regulator and turn the car over. The 5th injector should pulse when the car is cranking and when the car is in its warm up cycle to accompany the extra air intake through the auxiliary air valve. Yes, cleaning out the AAV with carb cleaner is an essential before other troubleshooting. Also give the throttle plate a good clean with the carb cleaner, too, just for good measure.
