Argg my clutch has started slipping, only when you drop down a gear for overtaking... but slipping it is... Is there an adjustment (ie cable) that would let me get a little bit more out of it ?..

I'm very sorry to report that the clutch is self adjusting Hydraulic and your clutch is on its way out the door.

The very excellent news is that a clutch job in a c900 is less work than rebuilding a power antenna mast.

Seriously, many people can change a clutch on these cars in under 30 minutes.
An awsome OE 7-piece clutch kit can be found from eeuroparts.com and with the American dollar worse than the a socialist country's currency you're in excellent shape.

Sorry for my ingorance but how can you tell when your clutch is slipping? How does it feel?
I have 260,000 km on my c900, but the previous owner had the clutch replaced at 230,000.

The clutches can last in excess of 300,000kms or 20+ years. Unless you or the PO were a little right brained at times then I wouldn't worry about it till 400,000.

My buddy has an all original SPG 1985. By all original I mean the clutch too!
