When I turn my steering wheel all the way I have this short "clunk" coming from the front. Seems to be happen more or louder when the car was parked for a few hours. I notice it when backing out of my driveway or out of a parking spot.
Any idea what this could be?
Car is a 2006 Aero convertible.

My guess is strut bearings. Have them put new struts in there while they have it unbuttoned if you have >70k miles. Monroe Sensatrac struts work well.

There's a check valve for the ABS system that makes a "clunk" sound when you first start up the car and move off (forward or reverse). Is your sound always present when you turn the steering wheel all the way, or is it only when you first start the car and move off? If all the time, then it's probably the strut bearing. If it's only once, then it's probably the check valve which is normal.

The sound only comes when I turn the steering wheel. Not when I just start the car and start driving.
