How can I set the climate controls on my facelift 9-5 so that on restart it will default at the manual settings I chose? If I remember correctly this involved pressing two buttons on the earlier version.;ol;

I'm pretty sure this could always only be configured with a Tech-2. The two-button thing I think you are remembering is the calibration, where it gives you the codes for what's wrong with the system. I vaguely remember something about another two-button combination, but I can't find any info about it at the moment.

If by facelift, you mean 2006-2009, then unfortunately I don't really know how those work at all.
