As title states above, that is the issue, but what should I do about it? This has only happened after I cleaned it out. I think maybe a previous owner might have had the idle adjusted instead of having the aic cleaned out. It feels like I have the cruise on (don't need to use the gas pedal in 1st), but I know it's not the cruise because that's never worked since I've owned the car. Is there a way to adjust the idle?

My guess is the TPS (throttle position switch) is not closing when you release the gas pedal. If you open the throttle by hand (engine off) and let it return slowly to rest, you should hear the switch click. If not, the ECU is not getting the message to go into idle mode.

Search this Forum for instructions on adjusting TPS, or follow instructions in the Bentley manual:)

Thanks for the input. As far as the TPS, it clicks whenever I open and close the throttle plate, so I will have some further tinkering to do.
