Gentlemen, my 9-5 is acting out! While driving, after a ringing sound I lose power on the dash, all my instruments are down. With engine running I turn off the car. Restart. Ignation on, the instrument panel is down, the scales are slightly trembling, the car wont start. Untill power is back on instruments at the 5th try, the engine turns on but instrument panel Check Gearbox is coming on. But I can drive home...
I do appreciaate all good intentions if you had or heard of this problem and happen to know the solution!

Greetings to Bolivia if that’s where you’re located. In my 2006, and all the dash instruments went dead, I resolved it by locating a used instrument cluster on eBay for about $50 3 years ago or so. Installed the cluster and had the car towed to a shop with a Tech II to marry the cluster to the cars ECM. Problem solved….in my case anyway.

This problem occures repeatedly time after time. Now today I go along the main cables from the battery. I have a tip of a probable loose contact posibbly on the negative side. Will see..
I welcome any suggestions thought.. 😁

I'd check ignition switch and ignition relay.
