I have gotten this message twice now, and my gas cap is on fully. is it soemthing else?

I tried doing a search, but the service is down. I would think of two things to check. First I would make sure that you are actually getting a good seal with the gas cap. Maybe something is torn or broken. After that I would wonder if there is something going on with the fuel pump or lines causing a decrease in pressure.

This is purely some general things I would check if it happened to me.

I got that about once a day for about a week, even threw a CEL, bought a new gas cap from the dealer and problem solved

If not a cap gasket, then look into the complicated gas tank vent system (vacuum lines, charcoal canister, controls,etc)....
