I personally would not change the oil with out also changing the filter. If you do not change the filter you will be putting new oil through a maybe clogged filter and could ruin your new oil.

Well that was...an experience.

After about an hour of trying to get the nut loose we finally gave up. Whoever changed the oil last torqued it on there WAY too tight, it wouldn't even budge and we ended up stripping it.
So I'll have to order a new nut from eeuroparts and when I get that we'll just knock out the old one, hopefully that'll work without too much trouble. With the way things have been going though, I'm sure that will take at least a couple of hours.

Nut..? What nut? there isn't one that I've yet seen on either the Oil Filter :) or the Oil Drain Plug.. J
ust what did you do??
AS a matter of reference ...With today's oils... it's cleverer to change the filter more often than the oil.
