Hi there, Sorry if I have posted and there is already a thread about this.

My car is a 9-5 Aero Hot (2000)

I am trying to change the audio head unit, however once all plugged in I get no sound. I have changed a few stereos in my time but this has puzzled me.

I have checked:
All fuses
Head unit is not muted
Plugs are properly connected

My question is, I understand the 9-5 has an external amp, is there a wire that needs to be connected to switch it on (remote lead) or is there something else I have overlooked.

Many thanks in advance for your help

There's a whole world of answers and questions about the 9-5's ICE on the site, you'll need to do a search.

But from my limited experience it sounds like (no pun intended!) you haven't taken into account the amp. You need to connect the pre-amp outputs from the new head unit into the car's system.

Do a search and all your questioons will be answered.
