Ok guys, the check engine light has been coming on and staying on for a couple of days now, but when I switch off, and turn the key to turn on the dash lights, ALL the system check lights run through and go off. No flashing whatsoever. I tried it with key in position ACC aswell as position 1. Both with no flashing.

So is there some dicky sensor or something thats making the CEL light come on. It goes off on it's own now and then whilst driving. It'll either come on straight away from initial engine start up, or I can go a couple of miles before it comes on, or it can just stay off completely till I am about to park up.

Is there a common fault that can occur with the extreme cold? It's only started doing it these past couple of weeks. The engine seem to run smoothly, and I can't feel any kind of knocking or juddering.
