I was driving my car in traffic and all of a sudden it just died and would not restart. Towed it home and had a look with tech 2 and I saw Limp home mode was activated and I had codes P1230 and P1231.

I checked and limp home mode was definitely not activated (that cog did not move with the throttle). I reset the codes and the car started just fine

Anyone know what this could be, and if it's going to happen again? I checked all the wiring I could see and nothing looked frayed or problematic

First make sure ur car has the latest software, then check this video for how to interpret the TPS1 & TPS2 signal (same concept)..
