Does anyone know the location of the crankshaft sensor on a 1995 v-6? Also I went to a parts store today and they said there are two listed, one to the engine, and one from the engine? Are there really two sensors for that engine?

No, that sounds like a misunderstanding. There is a crank-shaft position sensor and a separate cam-shaft position sensor

I have the 4-cyl engine, but the same Saab EPC (electronic parts catalog) list parts for the V6. Here are the Saab part numbers:

Article : Crankshaft position sensor
PartNo : 4504288
Usage : 1994-1995, 6-CYL
Supplementary Description : crankshaft
Order Quantity : 1

Article : Camshaft position sensor
PartNo : 4770079
Usage : 1994-1995, 6-CYL
Supplementary Description : camshaft
Order Quantity : 1

The picture shows the sensors on the opposite side of the engine, the crankshaft sensor is at the flywheel end, and has a cable that wraps around the engine from front to back, where it plugs in.

That makes sense now, I think the parts people pulled up both sensors from the looks of things. Anyway thanks for the part #'s and your input, they will help!
