New to all of this forum stuff, i have a 2.2 TID 2002, 125000 on clock, no evidence of a cambelt change. i've heard the cambelts on these are chains if so does anyone know whether i should get it changed or not?

Welcome to SaabCentral, Bryan

This is one for the Euro members; in the meanwhile, peruse your owners manual and service book, Bryan - these must be something useful in these books.
A chain in any engine is internal, lubricated by oil; conversely, the belt is external and runs dry, usually covered by sheet metal, maybe plastic..
