Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light on a problem with my 900, driving round town it's fine but when on the motorway 50-60-70-80 and accelerating the car vibrates (similar to a wheel out of balance) , if I lift off the gas the vibration stops instantly, back on the gas the whole car shakes, i'm thinking along the lines of a drive shaft problem, any ideas felles?
Thanks for any help/advice
Pete

vibration

Sounds like classic inner driver wear on the drive axles. Search the posts as there is much information on inner driver wear.

would agree with Bobsvert diagnosis, only usual other 'similar' is engine mount gone.
also check tyres for blebs/ roundness(change fronts for backs) and see if things are the same.

Cheers fellas. tyres are all brand new, so it's where the driveshafts attach to the gearbox, they slot into a cup, and it's the "cup" bearings that wear? this makes a lot of sence as it only does it under load, I'll get it over the pit and see if I can feel anything
Thanks again
