Hi,

Phew !!!! So pleased, drove my car today, c.e.l. light went off today so fault must have cleared. I did find a few vacuum hoses that had pulled off will have tto get some better hose will get some genuine saab items or silicon, but at least for now i dont have to buy a code reader. Will invest in a Sat Nav instead. Anyone got a sat nav care to reccomend one was lookng at myguide 3100 available from ebuyer.com

Thanks all for your help so far

Sounds like your Evap purge valve got plugged. It will clear itself intermittently. A bit of Carb cleaner into the purge valve will also do the trick. P0445 large evap leak are one of 4 things: gas cap loose, leaking vac line, Evap Purge valve fault or something else.

Hoses first, sat nav second ;)

3mm internal diameter is what you'll need. Some folks use 4mm ID but they're just daft :p

[EDIT] Glad to hear you got your problem sorted without much hassle

yeah, hoses

Hi,

Think i will get some new hose and a fresh set of plugs in also, oil change would be good idea. I have had car 6 months and only covered 2,500 miles since last official saab service. will be travelling down to Newquay cornwall in a few weeks time so need to make sure car is tip top. Let y'all know fuel consumption when i get back to cronwall

cheers All

Alun ;)
