you should get instructions with the intake,. they are in swedish. but there are helpful pics.

here you go, in english. A friend in Swedeb translated for me, it was a big help.
1. Remove the hose between the air pipe and the mass air flow meter (MAF).

2. Remove the ventilation valve (?) from the air filter box.

3. Remove the contact (power connection) from the MAF.

4. Remove the air filter box, 3 mounting points.

5. Remove the MAF from the air filter box and remove the rubber seal.

6. Transfer the MAF to the Opti-plate(heat shield). Turn the MAF so that it fits in the hole in the plate. Mind the direction of flow through the MAF, see picture 7. Remount with original clip (or ring, hard to translate) and supplied distance (plastic black tube-like washers) and hose clamp

7. Mount the opti-plate in original seatings (where the mounting points for the airbox are

8. Reconnect power connection to the MAF

9. Remount the ventilation valve (you have the bend that little metal tab out to hook up the valve...that is why there is a little tab cutout...)

10. Mount the air filter

11. Mount the hose between MAF and air pipe.

if you are removing the airbox, remove the lower resonator part too. you will probably have the best luck by putting the front end up on jack stands and doing it from underneath. I would leave the part that goes deep into the filter, in case you want to hook it back up at some point. but remove the lower box so you will get the best airflow to the cone, as best as possible.

I am running just the top part of the airbox right now, so it sucks from near the fog...with a JR filter inside. same as the optiflow but a panel filter. works great so far!
