Has anyone eles had to deal with this ...? My hood mounts have broke away from the hood on one side and on the other side the sheet metal has ripped that the mount is welded to ...Any ideas on fixing this or what I can do other than replacing the hood .Thanks Brian

you can try to have someone spot weld it back on, or replace the hood... that's about all you can do when those spot welds snap.

I helped a friend weld mine back to the hood. It's really thin sheet metal so it's a little challange. We removed the hood completely to this...it's only 2 bolts. I pushed down on the hinge while he tacked it into place. Then he welded the rest of the tear. After that we used seam sealer on it.

I used rivets and I was very careful about opening the hood after that.

I finally bought a brand new hood and now I'm very careful about opening the hood really fast.
