So after seeing Ferms_93_2.8T's thread about upgrading the rotors I decided that I'd go that route as well since I need new front pads anyway. I went to placeforbrakes.com and picked out a nice set of 314mm's that I was going to order and then came to a bump in the road.

I use the stock twin 5 spoke rims for the summer but during the winter I have a set of 16" rims with studded snows that I put on the car. Does anyone know if the 314mm's(12.4") rotor would fit the 16" rim?

Any help is appreciated

Whoa, the 314 mm are only found on the 06-current Aeros. 03 vectors and 04-05 Aeros come with a maximum of 302 mm. If you look at his thread, we have different calipers too. To upgrade to a 314 mm set up, you would need new calipers in addition to the rotors.

Just stick with the oem setup which is excellent. Unless you're tracking the vehicle upgraded brakes are pointless. Also, any grooved/slotted rotors would be a mess up your way with snow, salt, debris, etc.

Do some reading here on brakes--lots of good info.

not so related to your thread but im looking at brake lines right now guys. do these look semi ledgit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stai...Q5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_7840wt_1014 they are the cheapest... anyways they are right you would have to bump up in caliper size im working on a bbk for our cars im checking out caliper lengths and sizes to match ... needless to say its not so easy
Those lines may not fit, as they just say they fit the 93...not the 93SS.

well i realize that but most parts dont say 9-3ss i think im going to email them but do you think they would be worth it tho if they did fit
Well two schools of thought. If they dont, you are out $70+ dollars which could have gone towards "known" HQ brake lines....but on the other hand if they work they work, and you saved yourself some money. I dont want to be the one to say yes, then have them suck :cheesy: But if you can live without the $70 I say go for it.

But if you do, keep us posted, as I am going to start tracking my car this year instead of 1/4 mile so ill probably need some.

Probably a wise decision as Im not one to skimp out on brakes. They not only can save your life, but others lives as well!

i wouldent expect them to burst i would think they would only strech out but it dosent matter i like the idea of teflon coating them or putting heat shrink on them so they stay protected.
