My SPG had this stuff called "Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid" in it when I removed the engine... now that I'm FINALLY putting it back in, I'm wondering whether or not to use the same stuff again, or stick with regular DOT-4 fluid. The Super Blue says it is DOT-4 and 5.1 compliant, and it's supposed to shed heat faster, or boil at a higher temp or something, which reduces brake fade. I'm not exactly racing around abusing my brakes all the time, so it seems kind of unnecessary- but I have a full can of it sitting in the trunk, which should be enough to fill the system (I think). Is there any reason I shouldn't use this stuff?

From my experiance in the field of servicing European cars hydraulic systems I would continue using the ATE SuperBlue Brake fluid , I have been servicing all the BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's and Porsches at my workplace using this brake fluid exclusively for hydraulic repairs the one time I was not able to get it I paid the price on an '88 M3 Brake master cylinder a couple of days later!!! I also personally use this fluid in all my vehicles with noticeable improvement in braking under harsh conditions!:D
