So I had a couple wheels off my car today and while I had them off I decided to try and clean off some of the gunk built-up on the inside. I had them upside down on the ground, and was spraying brake cleaner on the inside of the wheel and wiping it down. Worked pretty well, but then I turned the wheel over and noticed that a bunch of the gunk and cleaner ran off on the outside. So, after cleaning the gunk off that side, I find what looks like yellow stains on the wheel from the run-off! I dind't realize brake cleaner would cause this on painted/clearcoated wheels... Anyone have any idea how to get rid of these stains?

If they're just stains, try a light polish like Meguiar's Scratch-X. The stuff does a great job on light stains and scratches.

Thanks, I have a container of that somewhere... I'll try it out tonight!
