Has anyone had any experience repairing the rear brake caliper with a repair kit? I'm lising fluid from the 4mm hex bolt which withdraws the cylinder when changing the pads. I want to fully dismantle the caliper but don't want to damage it in the process (particularly the 4mm hex bolt).

Thanks

Getting the inner circlip loose is a bit hard though. This has to come out to replace the seal on the piston screw which is what is leaking in your case. One seal kit I got didn't have that seal (just an O-ring) in it.

Cussing a lot seems to be the way to go here. Oh, and a circlip pliers. You want to use the proper tool here 'cos you'll damage the bore if you don't. I seem to recall using a very thin bladed flat screwdriver last one I did.
