Twice in the past week shortly after start-up I've gone to take off and while accelerating in 1st or 2nd had air start rushing out of the dash/HVAC vents under very high pressure for a few seconds. As soon as I lifted off the throttle the noise went away not to return. The increase in air flow *seemed* RPM dependant but it hapened so fast that it was hard to determine.

Is there any way for boost to get into the vents/dash like that? Perhaps the fan motor surged with alternator output then subsided?

This is weird, but deserves a bump anyway.

I guess the theory about the voltage spike kind of makes sense. Also, if the air handling doors are driven by vacuum hoses (and I don't know whether they are), then maybe accelleration could disrupt that system somehow.
