Hi,

I'm in the market for a 9-3 Linear or Arc, but is there any body differences between the two besides a lower lip/fog lights? It seems like the Arc has a different hood and side fenders as well. I'm not sure. ;oops:

Any help?

Thanks!

Yea, the arc side moldings are painted the same color as the body. The linear has black plastic (not cheap though)

I've got a 2005 Linear and I Love it! My dad has the arc, and the only thing i like better is the horsepower and xenon lights.

Xenons are the only thing I wish my Linear came with. My dad's Aero has them and they look insane at night time.

All the little stuff you want to add from the Arc/Aero models is pretty easy to slap on... like the catalog kit and what not.

Here in the US, it seems the Arc is identical to the Linear, appearance wise, except for a body-color painted lower body kit and optional wood interior accents around shifter and on door inserts.

The body kit parts are shaped the same as the Linear ones (no protrusions) except they are smooth rather than textured/bumpy.

The Arc comes fitted with a multi-spoke 16" alloy instead of split-spoke alloys like the Linear.

My dealer upgraded my linear wheels with the arc for free. They had them on a loaner linear...see if your dealer can do the same...I like the arc wheels better, but they're a pain in the butt to clean.

I like the painted skirts, my last two Saabs had the black plastic ones and they faded after a few years, it was the only thing on my 9-5 that never looked right.
If you can afford the extra money the Arc is the car to get.
