Hi All

Ive got these wonderfull but useless phone buttons on my steering wheel that i would like to actually use. I dont have NAV but my car does have the phone wired into it as i used to use the onstar phone but that was getting pretty expensive.

In my manual it says there is an adapter i can purchase from the dealership to use the features of the stereo/steering wheel for blutooth. Does anyone know this part number?
Edmonton doesnt have a Saab dealership anymore and the techs at the Cadillac dealership that took over dont know a Saab from Saturn.

I heard that you can get a new phone # through your cell contract and just use those minutes. Anyone heard of this?

The adapter your are talking about is a bluetooth adaptor. GM made it standard starting with MY09. The part number for MY 08 93 is 32025900. It is a bit expensive though. Aroung 350.00usd.

Through a contract with Verizon you can share your minutes with the Onstar phone.

nah, they stopped that Verizon sharing minute plan a few months back. you have to buy onstar phone minutes straight up.

On that GM/Saab webpage i see no support for the 08 models and the faq tells me to use my voice activated system and I'm pretty certain unless you have Nav in your 08 you dont get that feature.
I'll try it through the Onstar button and see what happens when i say Blutooth, I think i'll have to go aftermarket, no way I'm spending around 550$ CDN just to get my blutooth hooked up to the stereo.
