Best place to hand-turn engine?

Where is the best place to stick a wrench to hand turn a 16v? The discussion in my other thread about mixing distributors made me wonder where I should turn from? The crank pulley is a bit difficult to get to from the top of the engine...

Thanks. I didn't know if it was cool to remove that cover and start prying with a screwdriver... :lol:

And that's what I've done with other cars. But I like to ask before snapping a tooth off or something because this car uses brittle or soft metal.

Better to ask... :cheesy:
